Seamless VND–RUB Fund Flow Connectivity
On November 19, 2006, the Vietnam–Russia Joint Venture Bank (VRB) was officially inaugurated as a result of economic cooperation between the Governments and Central Banks of the two countries, creating opportunities to connect the two financial systems. VRB was honored to welcome President of Vietnam Nguyen Minh Triet and President of Russia Vladimir V. Putin on its opening day.
VRB is a joint venture between the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and VTB Bank (formerly Vneshtorgbank – the Foreign Trade Bank of Russia), each contributing 49.5% of the capital, while NGS Company contributes the remaining 1% of the charter capital.
To become a leading modern commercial bank and an indispensable financial partner in the trade ecosystem connecting Vietnam, the Russian Federation, and CIS countries.

VRB’s core strength lies not only in its solid capital foundation but also in the close collaboration of financial experts from Vietnam and the Russian Federation. With deep understanding of the business environment, culture, and legal frameworks of both countries, the VRB team proudly removes barriers and delivers dedicated, in-depth consulting services along with the most accurate financial solutions for customers.
